The Mysterious Breath

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

You would have thought that a church would be the least unlikeliest place for something unexplainable to happen. Well, think twice!

It’s been 17 years since it happened. I was 16 years old back then. Interestingly enough, it occurred in what seemed to be the most unlikely of places, a church! I used to attend one of those teen church camps which would have usually lasted for 3 days or so. There were activites arranged leading up to the last day, where everyone of us would all have had different tasks assigned. As for me, I was responsible for controlling the light switches and has a set of cues to follow for the night events.

Well, the catch was this. I was supposed to do it from a small room behind the church which housed the circuitry. Also, it only accessible from outside the church. In order to get there, I had to exit the church, walk to the side of the building and into a long dark alleyway (dark at night, that is) flanked by the church and another building. A short staircase would then led up to a small verandah outside the room. The small room had only one door, and the opposite wall had windows looking out into the church stage so I can see what was happening.

Old Klang Road’s HitchHiker

Wednesday, April 18th, 2007

This incident happened quite sometime ago at Old Klang Road, a place where my friend, Kim, used to stay. Every night, Kim used to go out around Old Klang Road til wee hours in the morning with his friends using his dad’s car. He would sometimes even drive me and some of my friends around town to get a sip of the yummy tea tarik at the nearby hawker stall at Old Klang Road. That, was old news until he did not go out late night anymore. We were curious why he would not hang out with us anymore and found this out.

Haunted Office in Malacca

Sunday, April 15th, 2007

I had a friend that used to work in Malacca, near the Bunga Raya Road. During his tenure at Malacca, he often heard of stories and experienced some himself. I guess afterall, this historical city of Malacca, does hold not only histories but also some spooky ones as well. Here’s one of the stories that will get your spines chilled.

When I first started out working at this office in Malacca, I only noticed that this building was a very old building. According to some, it was more than 100 years old. After a while, my colleagues confided me that this office was haunted but I did not really believe. That was when he told me an experience of his that, well, let’s just say I did not dare to stay any later after 8pm.

The company I worked in was a logistics company that deals with many countries across the world including America. Therefore, it wasn’t uncommon that some of my colleagues would come over to the office in the middle of the night to fax documents to America since it was daylight there. That was when something happened to my colleague, KC. KC was just suppose to fax some documents to America and arrived in the office a little after 2am. The company’s structure was divided into 2 parts, the front part and the back part (both parts of the office has the fax machine). Since the front part of the office was locked, he decided to walk to the back part and fax the documents instead. Afterall, it was easier than to open the locked doors and everything.
