Templer’s Park Night Out

Wednesday, February 7th, 2007

My friend, May loved outdoor activities. When she was young in her schooling days, she joined the scouts. Then in college, she joined the senior scouts where she brings the junior primary school students for camps and adventures. When she’s a young adult, she loved those cuti-cuti Malaysia trips together with her boyfriend and family and now, she simply loves travelling overseas, jungle tracking in the deep woods and backpacking.

One incident that happened to her was back in the college days where it was one of those simple camping trips that she had to bring the kids out. The location of the camp was at Templer’s Park, oldest established recreation forest park in Selangor. It was late at night and after stopping at one of those stopping booths (I’m not too sure what’s its called), they set out to help the kids unpack their sleeping bags. At that time, she was with then boyfriend, now husband Ian who’s equally as actively crazy as she is. Unfortunately, she was sick and could not care for all the children so everyone realied on Ian instead. Quickly, she was into a deep sleep.

The second incident happened around 2.30-3am while all of us were in the bedroom. That nite, we could not sleep so five of us children decided to chat in the room quitely because uncle B was sleeping in the next room.

After chating for about 30 minutes, we suddenly heard a loud crashing followed by a man shouting. Only for just that one time, that few seconds. Five of us were shocked and stunned we all had that same questions on our mind. What was that sound? A sound of a car crash? But the main road was so far away and yet the sounds were as clear as daylight. And why did that man only shout once?

Finally, I broke the silence and said, “Aiya, so sleepy. Everybody sleep, no more chatting”. Everybody readily agreed and replied, “yeah, yeah”.

Personal Ghostly Experience – Part 1

Thursday, January 25th, 2007

I was in secondary school, when I lived with my aunt in Ampang. My aunt, A, had the third eye ability. That is, the ability to see ghosts. You see, because of this, she has a lot of ghost stories which I would share with everyone at a later on stage.

For clearer understandings, let me describe my house which I lived in. It is a double story house with a big porch on the front, a living room on the left side of the house (since the right side is occupied by the porch). Behind the living room, you can see a U Shape staricase (where a few steps up, there would be a platform, turning left, is a few steps then a platofrm, turning left again then a few steps up). The dining room is next to the stairway on the left. There’s also a door which leads to the kitchen (usually opened, unless my aunt is cooking) that is located just behind the dining room. Next to the kitchen is a bedroom (that is unoccupied) and a toilet.

At the back of the house, there is a small road for people to walk and opposite of my aunts house would also be houses. The second floor, the master bedroom is located on the right side with a living in the middle and two bedrooms on the left hand side which shares a common toilet. Me and my brother, sister and cousins sleep at the second room whereas the other room is occupied by my aunt B and uncle B. In totality, 9 people stayed in that house.
