Amcorp Mall’s Office Ghost Story

Friday, October 30th, 2009

Author’s Note : I had a bit of goosebumps when my business associate related this incident about her housemate, Carol, to me.

Did you know those office lots nearby Nestle House in Petaling Jaya? Those are really old shoplots and have been around for quite sometime already. My housemate, Carol’s office used to be there  before moving to her new office down at Amcorp Mall. Carol used to work till late at night to rush her already due deadlines. There was one night when she was working all alone in the office, suddenly she felt something blowing at her ears. In the beginning, she thought it was the wind although the office entrance door was locked and no windows were opened at that point of time. Trust me, don’t be surprise to find yourself trying to find for a logical reason whenever situations like this happen to you. Then just as she was starting back her work, the blow came again. Ignoring it, she continued to work. After a while, the blow came again. This time she packed up her things and left. Okay, so this was just the first and perhaps the only incident that happened back at her old office.

My father is from Kelantan and for sometime a whole family of us would go back to my father’s kampung Kelantan when I was just a kid.

On one night when I was about 12 years old, I had an unforgettable experience. It was late at night when I suddenly woke up with a urge go to toilet. Since it was late, I was too scare go to toilet which located inside house. But the pressure was  strong and I could not stand it anymore and picked up my courage to release my need. Before that, I picked up my watch to check the time. It was 5:35am and I quickly move to toilet to poo. After my “business” was done, one would normally either use water or toilet paper. For me, I used the water and while the water was running, I did not notice anything until I heard a strange sound right outside of the toilet. It sounded as if  it was very far far away but was getting closer and closer. The sound I never heard that particular night was not anything I have ever heard before.

Gifted Eyes – 3rd Eye

This story is contributed by From a Penangnite

One of my current colleagues, Adeline had a kid who has special gift, Charles, who could see ghosts. We, Chinese, believe in ghosts, reincarnation and many more.  Both of them speak mandarin language at home. Adeline told me that when Charles was about 2-3 years old, she would put Charles at the living room to play on his own while she was at the kitchen cooking. Suddenly, she heard him crying and screaming. At that time, her son was too small to complete a full sentence. Concerned, Adeline kept on asking his son why did he cry and she had to even to repeat the question a few times. She could see that Charles was terribly frightened and he kept pointing towards the balcony. Although she tried her best to soothe him but Charles kept pointing and crying out loud.

Then she realized something was out there. Adeline scolded that thing loudly and even walked to the balcony, stood there with her hand flying and kept on scolding non stop. Her son then stopped crying after that. You might think that Adeline is not afraid of ghosts but she’s just as frightened of them as most of us are. However, she would do anything to keep her son safe. She told me that at that moment, she felt crazy and angry. People said that when a kid is small (usually before the age 5), they could see ghosts and even play with them. It’s a natural thing that could happen to any kid. So, my colleague thought that this is was just a passing phase. So, one and off, she would tell us what her son saw (that was before the age of 5).
