My daughter’s Sight

Saturday, March 20th, 2010

Author’s Note : I got this from a close friend who’s colleague just recently confessed that she has strong suspicion that her daughter (age 2 yrs old) can see ghosts.

Ever heard of rumors / beliefs that young kids do have the 3rd sight but as they grow older this “gift” disappears? Well, I’ve always heard about it but do not really actually believe in it. Even til this day if you asked me, I would just tell you that I suspect my daughter could see ghosts. I don’t really know if she was just playing around or trying to frighten me but how could a 3 year old kid know anything about ghosts when she is just learning her basic language skills? It all dawned to me when there was this one evening about 7pm. My husband was driving the car and I was sitting on the driver’s passenger sit. I was holding my girl and we were passing by this lonely road. There wasn’t much cars at that time and the sun was just about setting.

This happen to a colleague of mine that went to Pulau Redang about 2 years ago. Do you know the beach along the popular Laguna Resort ? Well, this incident happened along that beach. My friend went there with a group of friends for holiday. One night during the stay at the holiday (I’m not too sure what time it was), he and his group of friends sat down on the beach and formed a circle. Having a bit of adventurous feeling, they decided to tell ghost stories. Not a very wise thing to do, I might say very wise.

This incident happened 2 years ago in December 2008 at Port Dickson. My uncles and aunties went for a holiday in Port Dickson and fortunately, my family did not attend for some reason

The first few days at the Port Dickson resort, everything was fine. But weird incidents started happening while everyone was packing up and preparing for check out in the morning. The eldest girl (my cousin has 2 children, girls both at the ages of 3 and 2 years old) started crying for no reason and insisted that she was neither hungry nor sleepy. My cousin’s wife immediately felt something was wrong in the room but decided to keep quiet and did not mention this to anyone. Everyone tried to soothe the crying girl but she just kept on crying. Even ice creams and toys were used to pacify her but it was no use. The girl just cried, stopped for a while then continued crying. The whole drama went on until while traveling back, she finally fell asleep in the car on the way back home. As for the younger girl, she had seemed fine all the time.
