Dear Readers,

2009’s Hungry Ghost Festival falls on the 20th August, and as usual, Spookycorner.com will be taking a break from here as we celebrate one of the festivities in the world that commemorates the undead.

Thank you for support!

Stop Plagarizing

Thursday, April 16th, 2009

Its time I’m speaking out.  Ever since I’ve started this site, I’ve wanted nothing more than to entertain those who enjoy reading ghost stories as much as I write them (although I admit that I do want to earn some additional income as well).

However, over the past few months I’ve come to realized that most people that have created the same type of  “category” as SpookyCorner wants to earn more money than entertaining their readers. Sure, there’s nothing wrong with earning additional cash, but to go down to the low stoops of even plagarizing my work! THIS IS MORE THAN I CAN TAKE! I don’t mind that you copy my stories and quoting my site but taking my work and claiming it as your own is totally unethical and downright dirty. You know who you are.
I don’t say that I do not take information from other sites, but do take note that I ALWAYS QUOTE WHERE MY SOURCES ARE FROM!

To this person(s), kindly be nice and stop copying my work and claiming as your own. Stop plagarizing my work (word for word) or I shall curse you that you will not have any good nights sleep for all the ghosts and devils in the world would come and haunt you.

Annoucement : Spooky Corner under Radar

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

Dear Readers,

Over the years, Spooky Corner has enjoyed bringing readers the chills and thrills knowing that there is something out there. Or perhaps, it was only your imagination? Recently, we have no choice but to remove one of the posts due to a hotel management “threatening” to sue us for defamation on their property.

According to their story, they find the post absolutely judgmental and non basis, thus, causing readers to misjudge them. They mentioned that if the post were about their services etc they could have defended by retracing what went wrong but our post was just too much and that they could not have defended themselves in anyway. Isn’t that what the comments section is what about? To give others a chance to defend themselves? Perhaps they find that it was just too much rubbish even to leave a miserable comment. The person that experienced this incident still stood by her story after re-checking the authenticity.

We would not divulge the hotel’s name again for fear of getting into an ugly lawsuit but instead would be more careful again when posting some stories. You might find some of the stories modified again as we would not want the same thing to happen again, would we?

And the spooky stories continues…
