History of Halloween

Did you know that the word “halloween” actually originates from a Catholic Church? Halloween like much people actually thought as some demon worship or ancient pagan ritual but the history is that on the November 1st, “All Hollows Day” or “All Saints Day” is a Catholic day of observance in honor of saints. However, in the 5th century BC, in Celtic Ireland, where summer ends on 31st October, it was a day of celebration and holiday called Samhain (sow-en) also known as the Celtic New Year.

The storiy goes that on that day, spirits of all who died throughout the preceding year would come back and search for living bodies to possess for the next year and believed that by doing so, it was the only way to afterlife. The Celtics believed that at that time, all laws of space and time would be suspended, allowing the spirits world to roam free.

The MSN Messenger Ghost

Pinky have always known that the space in between her cubicle & her colleague’s cubicle (which was empty), lies a ghost that claims the location to be “his” or “her” or even “its” place. Ever since their boss installed some shelves at the space in between, the ghost shows its dissatisfaction by either “visiting” Pinky’s or her colleague’s cubicle.

It was also then that Pinky’s luck wasn’t always on her side. Not only was she always sick, she also felt very cold. Couldn’t stand it much longer, Pinky complained to her next door colleague that the ghost must always have been disturbing her since she was cold and sick even she was wearing her denim jacket zipped all the way up. Her colleague ask her not to talk so much nonsense and keep quiet instead. Later that day, Pinky noticed her neck had a blue black mark and was pain. She quickly asked her colleague to check it out and wondered where she got the mark from.

Malaysia Urban Legends – Tale of the Mysterious Lady

10 years back, the road along the old airport or Jln Sg Besi would be very quiet by the time it was pass midnight. Back then, there were lesser cars than now. The whole highway there was said that it used to be an old chinese cemetarial ground and even as we speak today, you can still see some old chinese tombstones just by the side of the road.

It was very late when this young taxi driver drove by the deserted road. He decided to take a shortcut by cutting through the old cemetary grounds. Being a brave man he is, he was not afraid nor did he believed in the ghost stories that some of his fellow friends tell at the coffee shop during their break times.
