Unpeaceful Soul

Author’s Note : Warning! This story has a bit of unbelieveable pieces here and there that some might find it hard to believe even for myself. Although the story teller swears by the truth that he witnessed the incident with his own pair of eyes, but I will let you readers decide on what to believe and what not to believe.

My good friend, Mike always liked fast things. Fast cars, fast motorbikes, fast money and that was probably the reason that lead him to his fast and short life. We were just having some ordinary gambling cum fun and drink session at our friend’s house in Seremban. It was all fun and we were pretty drunk when it was time for us to head back to Kuala Lumpur. All of us thought of getting a taxi (afterall, the law doesn’t allow us to drink and drive) and rent a cheap hotel room to bunk in for the night. However, without a word, Mike left with his Harley and drove off in the dark. We tried to go after him but he was already too fast and too far away for any of us to see him from the streach of Seremban Highway.

It was about 3 or 4am in the morning when I received a shocking news. Mike was dead. He was involved in an accident at the Jalan Kuching roundabout. Me and another buddy of us rushed to the scene only to be met by chaos. Police and ambulans was every where. It was said that Mike was running his bike at full spead and lost control. His body was thrown a few metres away from his bike due to the high speed and his body was practically thorn into shreads because of the high force. It was so bad that even I had a tough time recognizing him.

Annoucement : Spooky Corner under Radar

Sunday, January 18th, 2009

Dear Readers,

Over the years, Spooky Corner has enjoyed bringing readers the chills and thrills knowing that there is something out there. Or perhaps, it was only your imagination? Recently, we have no choice but to remove one of the posts due to a hotel management “threatening” to sue us for defamation on their property.

According to their story, they find the post absolutely judgmental and non basis, thus, causing readers to misjudge them. They mentioned that if the post were about their services etc they could have defended by retracing what went wrong but our post was just too much and that they could not have defended themselves in anyway. Isn’t that what the comments section is what about? To give others a chance to defend themselves? Perhaps they find that it was just too much rubbish even to leave a miserable comment. The person that experienced this incident still stood by her story after re-checking the authenticity.

We would not divulge the hotel’s name again for fear of getting into an ugly lawsuit but instead would be more careful again when posting some stories. You might find some of the stories modified again as we would not want the same thing to happen again, would we?

And the spooky stories continues…

Most Haunted Places in Japan

Thursday, January 1st, 2009

I was browsing through some of the horror sites when I saw this and thought that its worth sharing other parts of Asia’s most haunted places, Japan

  • Atsugi Naval Air Base – BEQ 985 – The spirit of a young man is often seen wandering from room to room. He is believed to be the ghost of a marine that was killed in a car accident in the 1960’s.
  • Hiroshima – Its not a wander as it was a nuclear bomb site during the WW2 . It is said that the souls of the nuclear bomb victims at the end of World War 2 haunt the area. There were voices, pleading for help, crying and screams can be heard around twilight. It is also said that some of those souls sometimes lurk in the shadows of the living. Perhaps unknown if they are dead or alive
  • Iwakuni – Barracks 1687 Room 301 – A Marine living in that room a few years ago committed suicide. In a drunken rage, the Devil Dog broke the mirror in his room and slit his wrists with the broken pieces. From Marines checking in and out of that room since then, late at night if you look at the mirror you can see a Marine staring at you from the mirror.
  • Kanagawa Prefecture (field hospital) – The hospital is an old field hospital located on a military base by the name of Sagami Depot. There have been reports of noises and individuals walking around in the hospital. The building is seldom used but at night when security checks on it they often find a windows raised or a door that ha been locked previously unlocked. The Military police usually have a new soldier go there to conduct checks his first night on the job. Many have reported hearing some one walking around inside. The Japanese have experienced the same.
