Sepang’s Back Passenger

Tuesday, June 19th, 2007

When mentioned the “Sepang” word, everyone assumes the circuit which has made the Sepang area famous because of the fast and furious car racing track. However, in the recent years Sepang has named itself for another reason, its Sepang’s back passenger. Here’s one experience my friend would never forget.

The Sepang road is one of the most commonly known highway to use as a shortcut between KL and Port Dickson. It was a dark and lonely drive along that highway towards KL. Me and my boyfriend was just making a holiday trip back from Port Dickson that very night when something strange happened. My boyfriend was driving while me sitting next to him being bored, took out my handphone and started playing with the camera.

Malaysia Urban Legends – Genting Highland’s Guest

Tuesday, June 12th, 2007

This is more of a horror story that’s circulate some 10 years ago about one of Genting Highland’s hotel. I’m not too sure which Genting Highland hotel is it as there wasn’t really one particular hotel mentioned in the many version of stories I’ve been told but some swear by its authencity. Afterall, this is one of the most told Malaysia Urban Legend I’ve heard for many times

It started out as a group of high school friends decided to make Genting Highland as one of their holidays destination. Genting Highland’s hotel, was afterall one of the most affordable-ly priced hotel with its location easily accessed (buses and cable car is one of the most widely used mode of transportation for students that do not own a car)

To make the holidays affordable for everyone, this group of high school friends decided to cram into a single bedroom which has 2 single beds. There were about 5-6 people sharing the room and with the cost of a RM300 or less a night, it was a reasonable price. Happily, the 5 friends joked and hanged out at the room. When noon came, they even visited the indoor and outdoor theme parks and had a great time enjoying themselves. As night approached, they were really tired and decided to call the day off.

Discussing how 5 people could sleep comfortably in 2 single beds, they decided to pull off both the mattresses so 2 single beds could turn to 4 instead (the remaining person would have to bunk in with another friend). As 2 of the friends pulled the upper mattress, they were shocked to find a dead body of a woman beneath the mattress. Horrified, they called the security and hotel management to explain the situation.

The Mysterious Breath

Thursday, May 3rd, 2007

You would have thought that a church would be the least unlikeliest place for something unexplainable to happen. Well, think twice!

It’s been 17 years since it happened. I was 16 years old back then. Interestingly enough, it occurred in what seemed to be the most unlikely of places, a church! I used to attend one of those teen church camps which would have usually lasted for 3 days or so. There were activites arranged leading up to the last day, where everyone of us would all have had different tasks assigned. As for me, I was responsible for controlling the light switches and has a set of cues to follow for the night events.

Well, the catch was this. I was supposed to do it from a small room behind the church which housed the circuitry. Also, it only accessible from outside the church. In order to get there, I had to exit the church, walk to the side of the building and into a long dark alleyway (dark at night, that is) flanked by the church and another building. A short staircase would then led up to a small verandah outside the room. The small room had only one door, and the opposite wall had windows looking out into the church stage so I can see what was happening.
