Something about the elevator

Author’s Note : My friend read this somewhere in a forwarded mail and related the story to me. I guess if you have read it before then feel free to skip but I thought it might seem interesting to share with those that had not encountered this forwarded mail (someone like myself, actually)

Eddie is used to working long hours at night. Sometimes up to 1 or 2 in the morning due to the nature of his job. And because of that, he is used to going back home alone in the deserted and dark office building. Eddie’s normal routine was to call the security guard stationed at that particular day just to unlock the elevators. You see, for security purposes, the guards would lock the elevators after a certain hour of the night.

After working in A company for a number of years, Eddie had decided that it was time to change his working environment. However, his new job still took him til late hours at night. On one particular night at approximately 12am, Eddie decided to call it a night and head home. As usual, he would need to call the security head to inform him to unlock the elevators. After a few rings, the security head picked up the call and unlock the elevator for Eddie. Eddie stood in front of the elevator waiting it to arrive at his office’s 15th floor. After a few minutes, Eddie realized that the elevator did not budge and called the security head again.

Unpeaceful Soul

Author’s Note : Warning! This story has a bit of unbelieveable pieces here and there that some might find it hard to believe even for myself. Although the story teller swears by the truth that he witnessed the incident with his own pair of eyes, but I will let you readers decide on what to believe and what not to believe.

My good friend, Mike always liked fast things. Fast cars, fast motorbikes, fast money and that was probably the reason that lead him to his fast and short life. We were just having some ordinary gambling cum fun and drink session at our friend’s house in Seremban. It was all fun and we were pretty drunk when it was time for us to head back to Kuala Lumpur. All of us thought of getting a taxi (afterall, the law doesn’t allow us to drink and drive) and rent a cheap hotel room to bunk in for the night. However, without a word, Mike left with his Harley and drove off in the dark. We tried to go after him but he was already too fast and too far away for any of us to see him from the streach of Seremban Highway.

It was about 3 or 4am in the morning when I received a shocking news. Mike was dead. He was involved in an accident at the Jalan Kuching roundabout. Me and another buddy of us rushed to the scene only to be met by chaos. Police and ambulans was every where. It was said that Mike was running his bike at full spead and lost control. His body was thrown a few metres away from his bike due to the high speed and his body was practically thorn into shreads because of the high force. It was so bad that even I had a tough time recognizing him.

Note : This is not really a horror story but more of a weird stuff that could have happen to you. Its still something puzzling for my friend until today.

My friend, James works in an office building on the 18th floor located at Jalan Changkat Raja Chulan for almost 6 months. Already since the day he joined the company, he has heard many rumours of the haunted 8th floor which happens to be unoccupied for many years. Everyday, he would take the elevators to work but nothing weird or mysterious happened. That was, until one particular night when he left for home at about 7pm on the month of the hungry ghost festival. As usual, he pressed the elevators button to the lobby for and the elevator started moving down towards the lobby level. Suddenly, the elevator stopped at the 8th floor and the doors opened. After a few seconds, it closed and proceed down to lobby. James did not suspect anything although he felt that it was a strange thing to happen since the whole floor was totally unoccupied. He dismissed it as a weird incident and thought nothing much of it.
