While hearing ghost stories from friends, you tend to hear advises of what to do and what not to do right? Well, here are some funny ones that I’ve heard by far. Don’t ask me why or how these myths and beliefs came about because as mysteriously as it appears, its passed on from generations (or perhaps friends) to generations. “They” say….
- Do not stand at the corner of the lift / evelator.Apprently, that’s where the spirits like to lurk. (this one I can explain, perhaps from those ghost movies that you usually watch? Remember when the victim would just get into the lift and press the button then suddenly in the corner of his eyes, he would see some feet in one corner?)
- Do not lean yourself / face etc against the wall. It is said that spirits move about by crawling along the wall so… you won’t want to get in their way, would you? Continue reading Malaysia Urban Legends – Myths and Beliefs »

This story is a courtesy from Siti
This happened a few years back. It happened in my hometown at Batu Pahat, Johor. I was actually taking a break after graduation and staying at home seemed like the perfect choice as I was always away staying at the hostel studying. During that time my grandmother’s sister’s daughter had just married a man from Kedah. They then built a simple house next to their mother’s house which is situated just opposite of my parents house. The house is such a way build that the back of my house is facing the front porch of their house.

One evening around 6.45pm as the surrounding was getting quite darker, I went to the back of the house to gather the clothes where my mother would put up the washed clothes to to be dried. There was still light and I could swear that my eyes were not playing tricks on me. I was standing at the placed marked “x” when at first I notice a small naked boy running back and forth their porch. The little boy was bald and had no clothes on, naked it seems. As I was busy picking the dried clothes, I wonder to myself if it was their son. But then they’ve just gotten married and I thought I remembered my mother telling me that the man was a bachelor.

It is said that there was a newly wed couple that was happily married in my hometown. During honeymoon, both had decided to travel somewhere romantic and chose a beach as their travel destination. After the honeymoon, things started changing. More specifically, the wife was no longer a happy woman.
At first it began with a minor sick, then after that, she started vomiting very badly. She had vomited so often in just a few days that her husband had no choice but to send her to the hospital. The doctors however could not detect what went wrong with her and the family members decided to get some second opinion with the witch doctors. Many they seek stood beside the husband and told him that his wife stands no chance of survival as the curse was too strong and unfamiliar with this curse.
