Author’s Note : For those of you that stay in apartments and condos, have you ever experience cases where your upstairs neighbor makes so much noise at odd hours that it irritates you? That you couldn’t even sleep at all? Well, here are 2 short stories of 2 different people that experienced something similar

Short Story 1

During weekdays, Reene usually stays with her parents whereas on weekends, she would stay with her husband. Her husband, on the other hand, would be living with his parents during weekdays as this arrangement was due to the convenience of both parities working nearby their parent’s house. As usual on Saturdays, Reene and her husband would go to their house and clean up. Recently late last year, Reene and her husband as usual were cleaning up the house when the doorbell suddenly rang. Reene’s husband, Max answered the door and got a surprise when the person introduced himself as their neighbor who was staying directly at the unit just below them, Mr A. Mr A apologized profusely for disturbing them and requested if some of his requests could be obeyed. Curious, Max asked if there was anything that he could help Mr A. Mr A then told him that they had recently just moved in after their marriage and told Max that his wife was having trouble sleeping.

Author’s Note : This incident happened to my friend who was staying in Wangsa Maju some 10 years ago.

Back when I was a student at TAR College, I stayed in one of  Wangsa Maju’s apartments. Although nothing particularly significant happened to me during the times I stayed there, but I remembered one weird incident that until today I could not explain what it was. You see, the apartment block I stayed was designed in such a way that it resembled the letter C. Meanwhile, the room I was occupying at that time was located just next to the corridors. The layout of the room that I slept on was a square room with windows that if you peeked outside the windows, you could see people walking up and down the corridors. My bed would be on the other side of the bedroom, opposite of the windows.

Author’s Note : This happened to one of my relatives who visited Taman Negara back when he was still young. We were speaking about some strange things that can happen at forests when he mentioned about his experience in Malaysia’s forest reserve, Taman Negara.

Taman Negara was one of my travel destinations when I first graduated from high school. My friends and I were pretty excited about visiting this forest reserve because we’ve heard so much about the beauty this forest reserve has to offer. So naturally, Taman Negara was our first destination. As it was a budgeted holiday, we only manage to stay one night at Taman Negara hiking the whole day to reach one of the hill’s peaks to see the sunrise.
