See | Spooky Corner - Part 21

Author’s Note : My colleague, KKor, related this story to me about his recent vacation with his family at Pulai Spring Resort, Johor.

Back in Oct 2008, my wife, eldest son (he was 1 year plus at that time) and I went to Johor for my wife’s company trip.Her company booked the Pulai Spring Resort which was quiet beautiful place for holiday. We left on a Saturday early morning at 6.30am and started to travel from KL heading to Johor.  The trip was a treasure hunt trip so we reach the resort about 2.00 pm. After checking in resort I was very tired and went for a sleep around 4.00pm.

It was a family suite so there was one bed room and living hall ajoined with the kitchen. My wife and son did not feel tired so they sat at the living room watching movie until I woke up at approximately 5.30pm. Later in the evening, we proceed to dinner and joined the game with her company colleagues til mid night. All three of us went to bed around 12.30 am and I slept throughout the night like a baby. We woke up around 7.30am the next morning and after breakfast, we checked out from Pulai Spring Resort and headed down to Malacca for a some sight-seeing. Later after that, we went back to KL.

Author’s Note : Warning! This story has a bit of unbelieveable pieces here and there that some might find it hard to believe even for myself. Although the story teller swears by the truth that he witnessed the incident with his own pair of eyes, but I will let you readers decide on what to believe and what not to believe.

My good friend, Mike always liked fast things. Fast cars, fast motorbikes, fast money and that was probably the reason that lead him to his fast and short life. We were just having some ordinary gambling cum fun and drink session at our friend’s house in Seremban. It was all fun and we were pretty drunk when it was time for us to head back to Kuala Lumpur. All of us thought of getting a taxi (afterall, the law doesn’t allow us to drink and drive) and rent a cheap hotel room to bunk in for the night. However, without a word, Mike left with his Harley and drove off in the dark. We tried to go after him but he was already too fast and too far away for any of us to see him from the streach of Seremban Highway.

It was about 3 or 4am in the morning when I received a shocking news. Mike was dead. He was involved in an accident at the Jalan Kuching roundabout. Me and another buddy of us rushed to the scene only to be met by chaos. Police and ambulans was every where. It was said that Mike was running his bike at full spead and lost control. His body was thrown a few metres away from his bike due to the high speed and his body was practically thorn into shreads because of the high force. It was so bad that even I had a tough time recognizing him.

This story is contributed by an ex-colleague of mine who happened to tell me this story after I kept pestering her for hours.

This happened to my brother during his studies at UITM in Arau. It was during one of those exam period in UITM Arau when most of the students were busy studying and burning midnight oil. My brother was nonetheless, one of those last minute UITM Arau students who prefered to study under the examination pressure. He claimed that he saw a pontianak with long hair 3 days in a row just right before his examinations.

You see, his desk was facing the outside window where the view were tress and grasses. At around midnight, he suddenly saw something that caught his eye and looked up from his books. It was a pontianak “crusing” past his window but it seemed to him that the pontiank could not see him. He immediately did a double take and looked behind at his roommate who was fast asleep. My brother turned back towards the window and of course, there was nothing but the calm and dark night scenery. Why was my brother so sure that he saw a pontianak? Well, one thing’s for sure is that whatever that was, it was no human because he was on the 3rd floor of UITM Arau’s campus.
